G2 heads have twice the plies for twice the endurance. At 7mm each, the two plies of film let you beat on the drums that much harder, while still retaining a moderate sustain and attack. The coated surface gives the head a slightly muted, darker tone than a clear head. If you play loudly, the G2 might be the right choice for you.
