The STACCATO WARM mallet is best suited to musical pieces where a fast attack is desired, but where a warmer tone is necessary. These are the mallets you want when the music demands tight rhythmic articulation mixed with extreme dynamics. The core of this mallet head is made of hardwood (beech or maple), covered with a 2mm layer of rubber, a single 1mm layer of high-quality high-density German wool, and finished with a 2mm layer of high density wool/cashmere. The shaft is constructed from carefully selected hardwoods (maple or birch) and is covered with a silicone anti-vibration sleeve to increase control and enhance comfort.
