The Bass TightDrive was Amptweaker's first bass product, and the first to receive the now popular Tight attack control knob. Due to many requests from users, the Bass TightDrive is also available with an additional Dry Low MOD potentiometer to add a clean bottom end, easily simulating the use of two stacks, such as the dUg Pinnick does. When the Gain, Tone and Volume potentiometer equalizers are added, you get the ability to create a huge range of overdriven sounds, from a thick, almost clean bass tone ideal for blues parades, to crunchy sounds, to a solid overdrive ideal for heavier music genres. This effect can also be used to clean up tube amp tones, which often sound too soft when played really hard.
